New vs. Secondhand

Check this out. Just got home from Goodwill with a new shelf for the kids. $14. Went to the bathroom. These kids must move like freakin' lightning when I'm not looking.

Yup, that would be the brand new shelf covered in PERMANENT marker and painter's tape. Yup. 

And that would also be why I see no point in replacing my patched together home of goodwill  / secondhand furniture with ANYTHING new for, oh, at least the 5 or so years!!!

Thank God I found patience at some point in my 20s......
