Pumpkin Picking!

This year we decided to try somewhere new for the annual pumpkin picking trip so we headed off to Lakeview Farm in North Plains, about an hour away. It was definitely worth the drive!

This is "The Centipede" made out of old plastic drums and it drives all wiggly in circles all over the place. :)

Our friend Liam

Waiting for the train to take us to the pumpkins. IMPATIENTLY and in constant motion.

On the train!

She's such a determined little munchkin. :)

Braving the hay maze!

I stayed outside the maze and just watched the little blond heads bob along.

Victory party! They made it out alive with "no dead ends"!

And the hunt begins...

Pumpkin hunting is thirtsy work.

The pony's name was Ariel, as if Rebecca wasn't already thrilled to be riding her!

Taking the boat across the lake back from the pumpkins.

Liam and his mom, Gen.

And Dad, Aaron.

Looking out for the monster we heard pops up from the bottom of the lake. We never saw the monster, but there was an awesome mechanical shark that jumped up out of nowhere!

And then on the ride home at 55mph the car starts shaking like MAD completely without warning and in the absolute middle of Oregon nowhere. Had a tow truck on the way prepping to pay $70 for a tow home when a random grandfatherly construction worker showed up from a nearby home and saved the day by finding my spare (I have a spare?!?!) and helping me change it. Still have to figure out two new tires on a tight budget after spending all day purchasing all sorts of fun, but oh well, that's life right? It was still a wonderful day and the trip was worth it!

And welcome October. <3
